Actors/Entertainers/Models: Confidence/Stage Fright

Insomnia

It is estimated that anywhere from 25%-40% of the population suffers from insomnia each year.  Insomnia is a sleep disorder which may cause difficulty in falling asleep, difficulty in staying asleep, or waking very early in the morning and not being able to go back to sleep.

Fear of Flying/Aerophobia

The If you’re afraid of flying, take comfort in the fact that you’re not alone.  Flying phobia—also known as aviophobia or aerophobia—is very common.  Unfortunately for executives, employees, performers, and others, air travel can’t be avoided.  Though some individuals with an extreme fear of flying, may find temporary relief in prescription medicine, many others will find hypnotherapy to be their preferred natural, drug-free solution to overcoming a fear of flying.  

Weight Loss

According to the Centers for Disease Control nearly half of Americans (49%) try to lose weight each year.  This is no surprise, as approximately 2 out of 3 Americans are overweight or obese.

Fears/Phobias

Fear is an extremely powerful, yet utterly common human emotion.  After all, some amount of fear is healthy, as it prevents humans from engaging in risky behaviors.  For example, very few people would walk through traffic on the freeway, for fear of being hurt or killed.  In this way, fear works in the interest of self-preservation.

Test Anxiety

The Anxiety and Depression Association of America lists three primary causes of text anxiety:  fear of failure, lack of preparation, and poor test history.  The symptoms that students or employees who are suffering from text anxiety may be similar to generalized anxiety, and include physical, emotional, and cognitive symptoms such as

Procrastination 

Merriam-Webster defines “procrastination” as “to put off intentionally and habitually,” and “to put off intentionally the doing of something should be done.”  Make no mistake, the majority of people are guilty of procrastinating from time to time, and either suffer no consequences, or the consequences are minor.
